Hello all!

It’s been a busy, busy few months in megsland!

The start of August saw another successful tour for the experimental marching band Itchy-O!  A sold-out show in San Francisco, and several other great performances from Reno to Fresno to Oakland to LA!  I even went camping with everyone for the first time in years, braving the wilderness (not really.)

At the end of the month, my beloved and I purchased and moved into our very first home!  We’re still unpacking, but it’s going to be a great place.

So Valentine’s has come and gone… If you were looking for a gift for your sweetie, I hope you gave them a downloaded copy of On the Piazza!  ;)  

I have a little love story for you, about how I fell in love with my neighbor.

A year ago on Valentine’s Day itself, my downstairs neighbor came with me to DJ while I hosted Bingo at the bar Sputnik.   Being single and not big V-Day fans, we were set to have a non-Valentine’s day full of booze and non-romantic Bingo silliness. Thing is, whiskey made me brave enough to ask him to be my Valentine.  He walked me back to our apartment building as we held hands, as Valentines do.  At the end of the night, we shared a kiss. Now we share a home, a future, and love.
